Keeping fit!

We had so many plans for this weekend, but they were made a while ago when we thought the weather in May would be nice, sunny and warm and not what we have been experiencing for the last week or so. I am such a weather person and when it's rainy, cold and windy outside, I would just stay in my bed and got out once the sun is out. Unfortunately, this had to change after having our beautiful Isabelle. Can you imagine a 3 year-old-one and mummy in bed?
Luckily me and my husband love sports and that keeps us occupied even on days like that. This morning, while it was raining, we went to the local leisure centre, I had my pedal x class while daddy was swimming with Isabelle. In the afternoon I took Isabelle for a little bike ride as it wasn't raining. We go very often and I think it's a great way how to keep fit and entertain your kids at the same time. I also love running outside, but only when the weather is nice, otherwise I usually go jogging to the leisure centre.
I have been going to pedal x classes for 4 months and feel so much better, fitter and healthier. I still remember my first class, after first 10 minutes I was so sick I thought I would never make it to the end of the class. I also love swimming and go once or twice a week, while Isabelle stays at the leisure centre's creche. I think that's a brilliant idea, and you should check if your local centre does that if you need someone to look after your little ones.
If you are trying to get back into shape and get fitter, my advice is to do something every day. Not for hours, just start with 20-30 minutes and after you feel condifent with that add extra 10-20 minutes. If you decide for running, I suggest power walking first, then intervals of running and then running. It's just important to persevere, not to give up!
