Family Afternoon at St Albans!

We had a fabulous family afternoon at St Albans yesterday. We love going there. It's just half an hour drive from us and we go there quite often. I would love to live there. The park is huge, you can see guys playing football, children on slides and swings, also people training under the lead of some army instructors. It's very clean and mostly you can see young families going for walks, but also older couples.

Isabelle was fascinated by the little ducklings and wanted to feed them. You are not allowed to feed them bread and there was a very king little boy who offered her some of the seeds he had for the birds. She wasn't scared. I was.....not of the birds but of Isabelle falling into the still cold lake. She was so excited, she wasn't paying much attention where her feet were....

After a nice walk and Isabelle scootering around we went for a nice lunch at the local Wagamama restaurant. It's a child friendly place, they have clean highchairs and menu for kids. Isabelle loves eating there as she gets her own chop sticks, which she calls "chop chicks". The little town itself has a very nice market on Saturday and Sunday mornings and for me it looks like a typical English town. If you live there, I have to admit, I envy you.
