From some of my previous posts you might know, I spend beautiful 5 years in Sydney, Australia. Even now, when I think about Sydney or hear anyone talking about it, I feel very emotional and will never forget the great Aussie city. I went there on a student visa, had to work in restaurants and bars first. Then I met my future husband and one of his friends' girlfriend had offered me a job at CEO, a menswear shop, and later I became a store manager. The last 2 years before returning back to Europe I was teaching ESL (English As A Second Language) at Holmes Institute. Have to admit that the beginnings in Sydney were very tough, from being a secondary school English teacher to being a waitress...plus studying as well, but it was definitely worth it and I would do it again. Why? For the life I had there. I think that Aussies are the happiest people in the world, always smiling, happy and nothing is a problem for them. I am a very "weather" person, so spending 9 months on the beach (10 minutes drive away!) was perfect for me. Another great thing - the travelling adventures you can experience. After 5 years I felt there like at home, but unfortunately all my and my husbands' family are in Europe, so too far and when we started thinking about having a baby, staying in Sydney just seemed as not an option. I hope to go back soon and can't wait to see all my Aussie friends there.
